The GTA Guide to 5 Summer Concerts and Festivals

You know how they say it: ‘sun’s out, guns out.’ In this case, we’re talking about the different music festivals and concerts happening around Toronto. There are a lot of sunny days that it’s a shame not to go out and enjoy. It’s even better when there’s music, the company of friends, and good food to accompany it.

If you plan to go out and soak in the sun, why not go to a concert along with it? Shows are happening in Toronto this coming June and onwards. We’re going to take a look at some of them and where they’re happening.




Niall Horan - “THE SHOW” Live on Tour 2024

Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan is back at it with his live tour, “The Show.” This is his third ongoing concert tour in support of his studio album of the same name. The tour began on February 20 this year in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and was presented by Live Nation at the Scotiabank Arena, Toronto, ON. Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster Canada. The shows are on June 28 (Friday) and June 29 (Saturday), respectively.




Alanis Morissette - The Triple Moon Tour

Those raring to see Alanis Morissette and partake in some of her jagged little pills of music are in for a treat. The singer-songwriter is visiting Toronto this summer. Joining Morissette are Joan Hett and the Blackhearts as well as Morgan Wade. Those who want to see her should go to the Budweiser Stage, located at Lake Shore Blvd., Toronto. The show happens on July 13 and 14 starting at 7 PM.





Red Hot Chili Peppers: Unlimited Love Tour

In celebration of their generally acclaimed studio album of the same name, the Red Hot Chili Peppers are dropping into town for their Unlimited Love tour. The concert tour, which started June 7 at the Isleta Amphitheater in New Mexico, will be held at the Budweiser Stage on July 15 and July 17 (7 PM). Joining the Chili Peppers are Wand, Seun Kuti, Ice Cube, Ken Carson, Kid Cudi, and Otoboke Beaver. 






Tate McRae: Think Later Tour

Canadian singer-songwriter Tate McRae has been busy in the studio as of late. Fresh off her second studio album “Think Later,” she is promoting it with the “Think Later” tour. This began April 17, 2024, in Dublin, and is set to conclude in Wellington on November 21, 2024. The Canadian leg of her tour happens on the Budweiser Stage as well and is set on July 17 at 8 PM.







Green Day - The Saviors Tour

Green Day comes to Toronto in the thick of their “The Saviors” tour to promote their fourteenth studio album, Saviors. Fans can expect to hear some favorites like Basket Case, When I Come Around, and Know Your Enemy. Acts like Rancid and The Linda Lindas will share the stage with the American punk band. Those who want to see them perform live should flock to the Rogers Centre on August 1. Gates are open at 5:30 PM.
